Our new gallery offers fresh perspective on your suburbs

Images: An Hour in Carpentersville

We're kicking off a new weekly feature that's a travelogue of sorts to introduce you to towns in the suburbs you may not have visited before – or to give you a different look at ones you know very well.

Welcome to "An Hour in ..." -- our new town photo gallery.

I live in Carpentersville, so I decided to spend an hour – no more, no less – driving around town shooting photos of things that caught my eye. The obvious and the obscure, big stuff and small. But all identifiable to Carpentersville.

Look for a new town gallery every Sunday at dailyherald.com/galleries and on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

On our social media sites, share your favorite Carpentersville photos with us by using #shareyoursuburb.

And tell us what photos are your favorites. Which ones stir a memory for you? Where do you love to go in town?

So here's “An Hour in Carpentersville.”
