Princess dresses, Mandarin Chinese part of Vernon Area Public Library tea party

Little girls dressed as their favorite princess as the Vernon Area Public Library in Lincolnshire hosted a princess tea in Mandarin Chinese on Friday.

The event coincided with the release of the new movie "Cinderella."

Jasmine Wang, of Language Stars in Deerfield, led the group as she had children repeat words and sing songs related to a tea party in Mandarin Chinese.

"The community loves different language programs," said Laurel Shapiro, the library's youth services programmer. "We thought it would be fun to have kids dress up and learn a foreign language."

About 15 children ages 2 to 5 participated in the pogrom.
