Westmont man facing child pornography charges

A Westmont man faces four felony counts stemming from possession of child pornography following a joint investigation by the DuPage County Sheriff and Wheaton police.

Rylan S. Malis, 28, of the 700 block of West 65th Street in Westmont was arrested Friday morning and charged with four counts of possession of child pornography. Each count is a class 2 felony.

Detectives from the sheriff's Sexual Predator Electronic Exploitation Division and Wheaton police discovered child pornography on electronic devices in Malis' possession during a search at the Westmont address. The search followed an online investigation of Malis regarding the downloading of child pornography from the Internet.

Bond information was not immediately available for Malis Friday night.
