Learn how you can earn a General Studies bachelor's degree

Anyone interested in earning a degree with the convenience of evening, weekend, or online classes can attend an open house to learn about the Eastern Illinois University Bachelor of Arts in General Studies degree program from 5-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, at the University Center of Lake County, 1200 University Center Drive in Grayslake, in Room 131.

The event is open to any student interested in learning more about the Bachelor of Arts in General Studies degree program. The Bachelor of Arts in General Studies degree program is for adult learners who want to complete a bachelor's degree but have limited time and family responsibilities that interfere with achieving that goal.

The BGS program is flexible, allowing students to choose their own schedules, is adult-friendly and transfer-friendly, and offers affordable tuition and textbook rental. The BGS program has been around for over 41 years, and many previous students have gone on to graduate school or have received promotions. EIU caters to adult students by offering courses in a format compatible with adult responsibilities. Classes are offered at locations across the Chicago area, including the University Center of Lake County.

For more information about the program, visit www.eiu.edu/bgs. Reservations are not required but are appreciated and can be made by phone at (217) 549-3347 or by email at Chicago@eiu.edu.
