Dining events: Eat early, save big at Devon in Oakbrook Terrace

Devon's early-bird eats

The early bird really does get the worm - or at least a delicious meal for less - at Devon Seafood + Steak. The fashionably early menu available from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday includes two courses for $20.50. First course choices include lobster bisque, spicy Creole gumbo, Caesar salad or baby greens. Entree options are pretzel-crusted trout, grilled Atlantic salmon, grilled rainbow trout or petit filet. All come with two seasonal sides.

Lent at The Happ Inn

Now through April 3, hunker down on Fridays at The Happ Inn where fresh fish and seafood specials abound. Lunch specials include the shrimp po'boy with spicy rémoulade, lettuce, tomato, onion and hoagie roll for $15; wood oven-roasted whitefish with lemon, fresh thyme and sauteed spinach for $17. Dinner specials include crabcakes with a warm lentil salad and dijonaise for $23. Get fish and chips for $15.50 at lunch or dinner. Shrimp ceviche, fried calamari, tilapia sliders, niçoise salad, seared tuna steak sandwich, tilapia tacos, grilled Atlantic salmon and Lake Superior whitefish round out the seafood selections.

Buca's clams are back

Linguine and clams is back at Buca di Beppo. Available now through April 5, get them in a white or red sauce. A small portion costs $19.99; the large costs $29.99. All dishes are served family-style. Available dine-in or to go.
