More than 60 Indiana counties have travel advisories

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - More than 60 Indiana counties have issued travel advisories because of potential hazardous driving conditions as residents dig out from a storm that dumped up to 8 inches or more of snow in some areas.

Clark County, just north of Louisville, Kentucky, was the only county under a travel watch Monday, urging drivers to stay off roads except for essential travel, such as to and from work.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for much of Indiana for Tuesday, saying freezing rain could make for a difficult rush-hour commute. Rain and melting snow Tuesday afternoon and evening could cause flooding. There also is the possibility of isolated thunderstorms Tuesday.

Below zero wind chills are possible Thursday and Thursday night in central Indiana.
