My professional educational background combined with my previous positions with the Village give me the ability to review village reports information and make choices in the best interests of the residents.What is your opinion of your community's present level of local sales and property taxes? Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain.The Village portion for taxes at the local level are about right.Rate the efficiency of your town's police and fire coverage. Are the departments well prepared for the next decade? What, if anything, should be changed? Do you have specific public safety concerns?I feel our Police Fire coverage is very good.Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?Coming out of the recent recession, we have trimmed our budget considerably. The recent hire of a New Village Manager Treasurer have found additional savings.What's one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?It's not new. The idea of integrating the 2 main axis of our downtown more closely with the waterfront.What other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office?Encourage develop new business in our downtown along the rt. 12 corridorPlease name one current leader who most inspires you.He's not current but still inspires- Daniel BurnhamWhat's the biggest lesson you learned at home growing up?Hard work perseverance.If life gave you one do-over, what would you spend it on?I would try to develop more patience earlier in life.What was your favorite subject in school and how did it help you in later life?Architectural Drafting.
