I am extremely dedicated to preserve the quality of life in this great Village.What is your opinion of your community's present level of local sales and property taxes? Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain.I believe we should all strive to eliminate wasteful spending, and burdensome tax increases, but maintain the high quality school systems that serve our Village. Property taxes should be lowered and government should be paired back to eliminate over regulation and tax increases.Rate the efficiency of your town's police and fire coverage. Are the departments well prepared for the next decade? What, if anything, should be changed? Do you have specific public safety concerns?We have excellent police and fire protection and must maintain our high quality of service.Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?During the past 6 years the Village of Mettawa has done an excellent job of cutting cost, curbing wasteful spending, and increasing quality of village services and infrastructure. I will continue this same approach.What's one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?trying to serve every home in the village with Lake Michigan Water. We are in the center of Lake County and need quality fire protection with fire hydrants and the ability to make water available to ALL of our residents, if possible.What other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office?Consolidating our Village services to a common location, by creating a Village Hall, by either building or renting a space within our village to consolidate and house our service offices, i.e. Clerk, Mayor, comittees, security, as well as building engineering processing.Please name one current leader who most inspires you.Pope FrancisWhat's the biggest lesson you learned at home growing up?RespectIf life gave you one do-over, what would you spend it on?Downsizing Government and eliminating over-regulationWhat was your favorite subject in school and how did it help you in later life?Art, it gave me planning, and design skills and honed in on imagination and creativityIf you could give your children only one piece of advice, what would it be?Love and respect
