When I become part of something great and have a duty, I roll up my sleeves and take the most responsible streamlined approach to meet the objectives.What is your opinion of your community's present level of local sales and property taxes? We are heavy on the personnel, but it is better to have them when we need them.Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?Marketing dollars taken from the Hotel Tax.What's one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?Get the residents to come together. The homes and lots are so big, there is a great distance between ones homes. Because we can't change this, we need to develop programs connecting the residents closer. One idea I developed is "The Summer 7". Polo is a great thing, but our interests don't support 7 Polo matches in the summer. I will develop 7 unique events located on the sports core specifically to connect residents, families and our businesses. This idea will be well thought through taking into account, traffic, safety, concessions and rain outs.What other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office?The pensions are high on my radar. It seems as if many board members are pushing this off and not taking it on directly. This is an issue which we need to have an actuary evaluate and to look down the road to see how big this issue is.Please name one current leader who most inspires you.Bruce Rauner.
