What changes, if any, do you think need to be made?The affects of technology are rapidly changing the future; affecting all aspects of our lives. The generation in high school today will experience exponential change and must have the ability to adapt...rapidly and within a global context. We must raise the bar in preparing our kids to thrive in this unknown world.Is the current collective bargaining agreement with teachers a good deal for the district? If yes, explain, where you see the district benefitting. If no, be specific about what you don't like and how it should be renegotiated the next time.Professionally speaking - of which teachers are considered, I believe they have the ability to establish their own merit based compensation plan with the district. Today's generation is facing a rapidly changing world and they deserve only the brightest and best teachers.What budgetary issues will your district have to confront during the next four years and what measures do you support to address them? If you believe cuts are necessary, be specific about programs and expenses that should be considered for reduction or elimination. On the income side, do you support any tax increases for local schools? Again, be specific.No matter your position, there will always be "budgetary issues" and there will always be differing priorities. I bring a strong history of managing businesses with objectivity, weighing efficiencies against benefits and making strategies for continuous improvement.Are all the high schools in District 211 treated equally, in your opinion? Explain why or why not, or where you think discrepancies lie.Where there are commonalities by school, there should be equality - and there are many. There are also extenuating differences which may / may not be within the scope or budget to accommodate. SD211 is blessed with a plethora of advantages that do not necessarily stem from money; I hope to influence the board for stretch goals that are innovative and challenge the status quo.Please name one current leader who most inspires you."There's a way to do it better - find it."
