Register for free screening of 'Maker' movie in Schaumburg

Are you interested in doing more away from a television screen, giving back to your neighborhood, or dreaming of being "the next big thing?"

The "maker movement" is an outlet for people like you happening all across the United States. Children and hobbyists, professionals and novices are gathering together and working to find fun and creative solutions to everyday problems, build beautiful works of art, and engineer basic and complicated tools.

A documentary was filmed about the "Makers" and the exciting opportunities the movement brings to communities all around us.

Registration is required for the free screening of the movie from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 19, at the Prairie Center for the Arts, 201 Schaumburg Court in Schaumburg.
