Believe Project: $100 to help brother after knee replacement surgery

Today's winner of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Marie Jones of Hampshire.

Here is an excerpt of her pitch:

"My brother is facing knee replacement surgery. He is on disability due to a mental health condition. He is single, renting, and already struggling to make ends meet. He will be recuperating at my home after surgery. It would be so nice to give him financial support also. He would be so grateful to know the Daily Herald and the entire community cares for him in these circumstances."

• The Believe Project mails a $100 bill each day to someone with a good idea for how to use it to do a good deed for someone else.
