Power around Elk Grove Jewel store goes out

ComEd crews worked quickly to restore lost power in a pocket of Elk Grove Village Friday night.

ComEd spokeswoman Tia Bradley said there is no explanation yet on what caused the outage, which affected businesses and residences especially around the area of Arlington Heights and Biesterfield roads. The Jewel store went dark.

The outages began at about 8:29 p.m. By 9:09 p.m., all but 50 customers were restored, ComEd said.
