See 'Love Under Fire: The Story of Bertha and Potter Palmer'

Experience the Great Chicago Fire through a film showcasing the story of one of Chicago's most powerful couples, Bertha Honoré and Potter Palmer, at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 5, at the St. Charles Public Library, 1 S. Sixth Ave.

In celebration of Women's History Month, Chicago film director Amelia Dellos will present "Love Under Fire: The Story of Bertha and Potter Palmer," the epic love story between young socialist Bertha Honoré and Potter Palmer, a self-made man 20 years her senior.

A question-and-answer session with the director will follow the screening of the movie.

Originally debuted on WTTW-Channel 11, the short documentary was one of 50 films selected out of 400 entries for the 2014 Women's International Film & Arts Festival in Miami. Amelia Dellos is a screenwriter, playwright, novelist, copy writer and blogger.

This educational and engaging program is funded by the St. Charles Public Library Foundation.
