Rockford man pleads guilty in armed robbery at pharmacy

ROCKFORD, Ill. (AP) - A 22-year-old Rockford man has pleaded guilty to armed robbery in a holdup at a local pharmacy.

Nikolas Dunn admitted to the November 2011 robbery, in which he taped two Walgreens employees to chairs and ordered another to unlock a safe at knife point. He then took off with an undisclosed amount of money in one of the workers' vehicles.

The Rockford Register Star (http://bit.ly/1zJVNQi ) reports officers were able to locate Dunn at a nearby apartment after spotting the stolen vehicle. They also recovered a bag of money and a knife.

Dunn faces up to 30 years in prison followed by two years of mandatory supervised release.

Sentencing is scheduled for April 7.
