Student-run fashion show to benefit 360 Youth Services

The Event Planning and Fashion Show class at the Illinois Institute of Art-Schaumburg is producing its annual fashion show at the Meadows Club in Rolling Meadows, on Thursday, March 12.

Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the fashion show begins promptly at 8 p.m.

The Pulse Presents: Exposed Fashion Show is inspired by change and expressing your own individuality. Creating a grunge street look atmosphere and highlighting natural beauty, the show will juxtapose high fashion with low. As an entirely student produced show, members of the Fashion Production class have organized every aspect including marketing, fundraising, budgeting and casting models. The performance showcases new up and coming talent and student work in the fashion industry. The show will also be showcasing 10 high school student designs submitted and selected from local suburban high schools.

Tickets will be presold at $65 for VIP; $20 for general admission; and $10 for students on campus. At the door, tickets are $65 VIP; $25 general admission; and $15 students with valid IDs. Tickets are sold on campus and online via eventbrite: www.eventbrite.com/myevent?eid=15499893599.

The students have also launched a gofundme (gofundme.com/exposed2015-360) campaign for donations in lieu of attendance at the show.

All the proceeds from the show will be donated to 360 Youth Services, a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to substance abuse education and prevention services for the ages of 8-24. This organization offers transitional housing programs, LGBTQ collaborative and prevention programs.
