Join in Hope Hustle at St. Charles East

Register to join the fun and be part of St. Charles East High School's Hope Hustle Saturday, March 21.

The goal is to bring together the community and focus on promoting positive thoughts through teamwork. Don't forget to show your school spirit and wear Hope Hustle apparel on the day of the race.

The race begins and ends at Norris Stadium with the 5K course wrapping around the high school and the surrounding streets on East Campus.

There will be three separate events, a 5K Challenge Race, 5K Fun Walk-Run, and Youth Mile Challenge.

Starting times are 8 a.m. for the Youth Mile; 9 a.m. for the 5K Challenge; and 9:30 a.m. for the 5K Fun Run.

The St. Charles East community, East staff and students, parents, students from local elementary schools, Thompson and Wredling, and community members are working to support prevention initiatives, events and projects.

Costs through March 1 are: 5K Timed Hope Hustle Challenge (medals and trophies), $30; 5K Hope Hustle Fun Run (includes prizes at six stations), $30; 5K Hope Hustle Fun Run East Staff, (includes prizes at six stations), $25; 5K Hope Hustle Fun Run East student (includes prizes at six stations), $20; and Youth Hope Hustle Mile Challenge (medals and trophies), $15.

After March 1, all race prices increase by $10.

All 5K Challenge participants will receive all prizes in a swag bag at the end race.

All Fun Run/Walk participants will receive all prizes throughout the course at the "Fun Run Stations."

The main goal as a result of the 5K is described within the HOPE acronym: Helping Others Protect Each other. This event is something that will bring together the community in a profound way. People of all ages will meet in a happy environment with elements like music, gifts, paint, and other uplifting additions to bring out the best in everyone. The participants will be working together to get to the finish line. Increasing this healthy lifestyle and promoting positive thoughts through teamwork will help spread good vibes and lower the rate of depression and suicide, which has been a big issue for many kids within our community.

Late registration through event date is available at additional cost with no guarantee on giveaways (swag bag).
