Riverside Foundation "Hearts of Gold" Gala

Riverside Foundation's annual benefit gala, "Hearts of Gold," will be held Saturday, March 7 at 6 p.m. at the Marriott Lincolnshire Resort. Proceeds directly benefit Riverside Foundation, a not-for-profit community-based organization serving adults with moderate to severe intellectual and developmental disabilities at its residential facility in Lincolnshire and its work/activity center in Vernon Hills.

The black-tie optional evening includes cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, dinner, music by "Maggie Speaks," a grand raffle and a variety of unique live and silent auction items and experiences.

"The Riverside Gala is a fun evening out with an important purpose. The money raised that night helps change the lives of the special individuals who depend on the warm, supportive care and training that Riverside provides," said Peggy Gaier (Lake Forest), president of the Riverside Women's Board, the volunteer support group that organizes the event.

The gala will honor Baxter Credit Union and Bob McKay (former COO of BCU) with Riverside's 20015 Distinguished Service Award. Vernon Louks, Jr., past Chairman and CEO of Baxter International will serve as honorary chairperson.

"Bob and BCU believe in improving and giving back to the local communities in which they serve. BCU has provided sponsorship, financial support, resident learning opportunities and volunteers. Bob was am outstanding member of the Riverside Board of Directors from 2005 to 2011 and continued his support beyond his term. As a nonprofit, we appreciate their charitable giving and the great standards they have set. " said Debbie Rogers, executive director of Riverside Foundation.

2015 Gala Corporate Champions include Allstate, BCU, Grainger and the RumChata Foundation.

Gala tickets are $200 per person and may be purchased online at riversidefoundation.net or by check to Riverside Foundation, 14588 W. Highway 22, Lincolnshire, IL, 60069. For more information, call 847.634.3973.
