U-46 candidate forum set for March 5

The Citizens' Advisory Council will host an Elgin Area School District U-46 board of education candidate forum at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 5, in the auditorium at Streamwood High School, 701 W. Schaumburg Road, Streamwood. Use door entrance no. 23.

The community will have a chance to learn about the 10 school board candidates running for five open seats on the U-46 Board of Education.

There are four open seats for a four-year term.

Those candidates are as follows: Lawrence "Larry" Bury of Bartlett, Ed Novak of Bartlett, Phil A. Costello of Bartlett, Jennifer Shroder of Elgin, Traci D. Ellis of Elgin, Arisleyda Taylor of Streamwood, Susan E. Kerr of Bartlett, and Jeanette Ward of West Chicago.

There is one open seat for a two-year term. Those candidates are as follows: Cody Holt of Elgin and Kai Rush of Elgin.

Spanish translation will be available.

The spring consolidated election will be Tuesday, April 7.
