Lakeside Singers to perform Sunday at Forest View

The Northwest Suburban Community Concert Association, in partnership with District 214 Community Education, will hold its third concert of the 2014-2015 season Sunday, Feb. 22. It will feature members of The Lakeside Singers, conducted by Mike Molloy.

The concert will be at 3 p.m. at the Forest View Educational Center Theater, 2121 S. Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights.

Tickets are $20, available at the door, at www.nscommunityconcerts.org, or through Northwest Suburban High School District 214, (847) 718-7702. Children through 12th grade are free with a paying adult.

Founded in 1999, The Lakeside Singers is an ensemble dedicated to bridging the worlds of classical and contemporary choral music with a membership that is drawn from both disciplines. It comprises professional singers, composers and arrangers who have performed on TV and radio commercials, operas, early music ensembles, film scores, Broadway shows, jazz clubs, cruise ships, cabarets and classical concerts around the country. Members are selected through auditions and must re-audition every two years.

The 2014-2015 concert season will conclude with June's Got the Cash - A Tribute to Johnny Cash and June Carter on Sunday, April 19. Information is at www.nscommunityconcerts.org.
