I'm From Division Street is a comeback story of how Ken Green rose from poverty, academic problems, and anti-Semitism growing up in Chicago's Humboldt Park neighborhood to success. He is a defense attorney and retired Chief of Public Defenders in Los Angeles County, a boxer inducted into the California Boxing Hall of Fame, and single parent. He also served in Korea, where he faced anti-Semitism among his fellow soldiers, including fighting for his life. He became a reserve police officer at the age of 68. His book also vividly describes the Humboldt Park neighborhood and successful Jewish people from that neighborhood.

Kenneth N. Green is listed in Who's Who In America; He has residences in both the Los Angeles area and in Chicago.
