Brian Grano, owner of Mickey Finn's Brewery in Libertyville, and his wife, Jetta, were enthusiastically toasted by friends, relatives, suppliers, and customers who gathered Feb. 13 to celebrate the iconic brewpub's 21st anniversary as Lake County's oldest, newest, and largest microbrewery.
In addition, Grano's "Finn's 'Finally' Turns 21 and is Having a Party" weeklong customer event was a give back to his loyal customers who won prizes and enjoyed special entertainment. Mickey Finn's Brewery is now housed in the completely renovated 345 N. Milwaukee Ave. building, one block south of the old location.
Mickey Finn's Brewery's owner, Brian Grano, climbed to the top of a 10-foot ladder to thank those who attended the special event not only to celebrate its 21st anniversary, but officially welcome them to the new location.
The brewpub serves favorites as the Mickey Burger, Pat E. Melt, Reuben, and brisket sandwiches; natural gas-fired pizza; and Finn's signature hot wings. New to the menu are gluten-free pizza, gluten-free organic beef burgers, and gluten-free chicken tenders, as well as Finn's Cobb salad and blackened chicken salad, and brisket chili. The menu is complemented by Mickey Finn's Brewery's award-winning, handcrafted ales and lagers, including a full array of its Amber Wheat, Stout, IPA, and multiple seasonals.
