Considering a return to college?

Whether it's the first time stepping foot onto a college campus or a return to college after an extended absence, prospective adult learners have questions and concerts that differ from traditional students.

With that in mind, Harper College will hold an adult information session from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, at the Student Center, Building A, Room A243 on the College's main campus, 1200 W. Algonquin Road in Palatine.

A recruiting specialist will share information on academic programs, areas of study, financial aid and campus resources so prospect adult students can take advantage of career-oriented programs, affordable tuition, world-class faculty and state-of-the-art facilities.

"Harper College continually looks for ways to better serve the often time-strapped adult learner," said Vicki Atkinson, Director of New Student Programs and Retention. "That means individualizing their experience here from day one. We really want to get to know our adult students."

A separate session specifically addressing the Fast Track adult program will be offered at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, in Room 121 of the Harper Professional Center (enter through Suite 9 South), 650 E. Higgins Road in Schaumburg. Fast Track is designed for students who want to complete their degree or career certificate by attending just one or two class sessions a week. Fast Track programs are available in business administration, general and advanced management, health insurance billing, human resource management and supply chain management.

Register at harpercollege.edu or 847.925.6081. Those unable to attend can make an individual appointment.
