Former Hawk Montador dead at 35

Steve Montador, who played for the Blackhawks during the 2011-12 season, has died at the age of 35. He was found in his Mississauga, Ontario, home Sunday morning.

Montador's 2012 season ended because of a concussion and he played the next season with the Rockford Ice Hogs in the AHL.

Foul play is not suspected. An autopsy has been scheduled.

Montador played in 52 games with the Hawks in 2011-12, scoring 5 goals. He broke into the league in 2001-02 with Calgary.
