The Holmstad to feature renowned artist of miniature paintings Feb. 23-April 20

A Batavia resident, Cook is a self-taught artist who specializes in miniature paintings, which is considered a fine art specialty. His acrylic paintings typically measure 4.75" x 2.75" and tend to reflect his love of nature. Rural landscapes, old buildings, barns, streams, waterfalls and water lilies are some of his favorite renditions.

One of 38 American miniature artists invited to London to participate in the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Royal Miniature Society, which is under the patronage of Queen Elizabeth II, his artwork has also received honors from the Miniature Artists of America and Whiskey Painters of America.
