Chicagoland Dog Rescue Pet Adoption Event
Schaumburg, IL - Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices KoenigRubloff Realty Group's Schaumburg branch will hold a pet adoption event at their office located at 2570 N. Schaumburg Road in Schaumburg on Sunday, February 22nd from 12:oopm-3:00pm. In conjunction with Chicagoland Dog Rescue, a foster based dog rescue in Schaumburg, and the KoenigRubloff Cares Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports local initiatives, guests will have the opportunity to meet some of the dogs that are looking for a permanent home.
"We wanted to find a way to raise awareness for Chicagoland Dog Rescue," said Justin Greenberg, Vice President and Managing Broker of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Koenig Rubloff Realty Group's Schaumburg office. Justin continued, "There are so many dogs that have been rescued that are looking for a permanent home, and this is a nice way for the community to meet some of these fantastic dogs in person. We do a great job of finding homes for people, so we thought we would try our hand at finding homes for deserving pets."
All of the dogs at the event have had their shots and have been spayed or neutered. There is no admission cost for the event, and guests will also be able to partake in dog themed cookies and other snacks, soft drinks, water, and children will have the opportunity to enter a coloring contest. Puppies will cost $300 to adopt, while mature dogs will cost $250 to take home. Donations will also be accepted to benefit the Chicagoland Dog Rescue and Little City Foundation, an organization that provides housing and programs to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
This event comes on the heels of another philanthropic event in which the Schaumburg office teamed up with Little City Foundation for a special holiday event this past December. Eight residents in each of the two homes created wish lists for the holidays that included anything from home goods such as comforters and area rugs to a deck of cards and sunglasses. About 15 Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices KoenigRubloff Realty Group agents each selected a resident, gift wrapped the items on their wish list, and hand delivered them.
