West Aurora plans forums on $84 million referendum

West Aurora School District 129 officials have scheduled forums where people can learn about why the district is asking permission to borrow $84 million for building projects.

The forums are at:

• 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Hill Elementary School, 724 Pennsylvania Ave., Aurora;

• 7 p.m. Feb. 24 at Jewel Middle School, 1501 Waterford Road, North Aurora;

• 6:30 p.m. Feb. 26 at Jefferson Middle School, 1151 Plum St., Aurora;

• 6:30 p.m. March 3 at Nicholson Elementary School, 649 N. Main St., Montgomery;

• 6:30 p.m. March 5 at Goodwin Elementary School, 18 Poplar Place, North Aurora.

Superintendent Jeff Craig will lead the forums.

Voters will decide April 7 whether money should be borrowed. The money would be used to build a new Hill School, add air conditioning to several schools, and other work.
