5 things to do this weekend in the suburbs

If your weekend is not already booked solid with Valentine's Day plans - you did make them, right? - then consider picking up some theater tickets to a romantic play in St. Charles, taking the kids to a puppet show in Waukegan or treating yourself to a Fleetwood Mac concert in Rosemont.

Steel Beam Theatre continues its Valentine's Day tradition of staging A.R. Gurney's "Love Letters." Told exclusively through letters, the two-person play details a couple's lifelong friendship and love affair. It's at 111 W. Citadel Theatre presents Jon Robin Baitz's dramedy "Other Desert Cities," about a writer who returns to her parents' Palm Springs home and announces she has written a tell-all memoir.
