Schaumburg's Blackwell commits to Robert Morris

Last Saturday, Mid-Suburban League girls basketball fans got to watch plenty of basketball at the Robert Morris University Gymnasium in Arlington Heights.

Six consecutive boys and girls games featuring all the MSL East teams were played at Robert Morris as District 214 celebrated 100 years of education.

That same gym will now become the home floor for a Mid-Suburban West standout guard/forward.

Schaumburg senior Jada Blackwell has signed a national letter of intent to play for Eagles and plans to study physical therapy.

"I like the smaller schools," Blackwell said. "And I really connected with the head coach and players on the team."

The 5-foot-11 Blackwell can score from anywhere on the floor.

She currently has 919 career points after a 28-point performance against Buffalo Grove and 30 points the game before against Conant.

Robert Morris (18-4, 11-3) is currently ranked top 20 nationally in the NAIA DII poll.
