Aurora Christian wins regional opener

No. 1 seed Aurora Christian didn't have trouble in its opening game of the Class 2A Aurora Christian girls basketball regional Wednesday night, beating Chicago Catalyst/Maria 60-17.

Gabby Galbato scored 19 points to lead Aurora Christian (19-8). Natasha Brown added 15 points and 17 rebounds.

The Eagles will play Westmont, a 43-40 winner over Lisle, for the regional title at 7 p.m. Friday.
