Chocolate's the thing at Elgin event

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 357 Division St. in Elgin, invites the community to the annual "Chocolate! The Festival" from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14. It is an annual event celebrating all things chocolate.

It features handmade chocolates and desserts for sale. Flower arrangements, cocoa bar, and a silent auction are all part of the day.

Matching funds from Thrivent Financial will benefit winter coats for children at Lords Park Elementary School, a community garden located at Holy Trinity, and the church's Elder Cafe.

This year, they will offer "Chocolate! After Dark" at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14. Enjoy a free viewing of the new movie "The Song." Snacks will be available for purchase during the movie. Chocolates and desserts will be for sale afterward.
