Kaneland Arts Initiative to host 2015 Feast and Silent Auction

Consider joining the Kaneland Arts Initiative's sixth annual Fine Arts Feast and Silent Auction on Friday, Feb. 20, at Open Range Southwest Grill Restaurant at Bliss Creek Golf Course, 1 Golfview Road in Sugar Grove. The cash bar will open at 5:30 p.m., followed by the silent auction and cork pull from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. The dinner and program will start at 6:30 p.m.

Entertainment will be provided by KAI staff and special guests. Tickets, which are $10 per person, are available for purchase online at www.kanelandartsinitiative.org.

Six years ago, the Kaneland Arts Initiative planning committee was hashing and rehashing ways to raise money through individual patrons for the KAI.

After much brainstorming, the committee decided that a casual event, explaining what the KAI is and the mission it accomplishes annually would be the best fit for a fundraising campaign.

The committee began to plan, eagerly inviting friends, former students, and Kaneland staff and community members to the event.

Almost immediately, Open Range Southwest Grill Restaurant in Sugar Grove offered to provide their Pine Room banquet hall to host the event.

The first Fine Arts Feast was a rousing success and now is very much a part of our season as any one of our performances. Since then, the Fine Arts Feast is an engaging, and informative evening with the added fun of a silent auction of great prizes along with a cork pull for wine.

During the evening, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the Kaneland Arts Initiative, bid on amazing auction items, participate in a cork pull for a bottle of wine, and contribute to this important endeavor. Your donation to the Kaneland Arts Initiative is 100-percent tax deductible. Seating is limited to the first 150 guests and families are welcome.
