Arlington Heights man sentenced for July burglaries

An Arlington Heights man pleaded guilty Monday to a series of burglaries in Arlington Heights and Mount Prospect last July.

Steven Brown, 25, of the 1400 block of Central Road, was sentenced to four years in prison in exchange for his plea.

Brown's co-defendant Jeremy Driscoll, 26, of Chicago pleaded guilty to the charges late last month and was sentenced to six years in prison, according to court records.

Authorities say Brown and Driscoll took credit cards, jewelry and electronic equipment from homes on Bristol Lane and Burton Place in Arlington Heights and from homes on Hatlen Avenue, Verde Drive and Bonita Avenue in Mount Prospect.

Brown must serve at least 50 percent of his sentence before he is eligible for parole.
