Believe Project: $100 to a woman with pulmonary fibrosis

Today's winner of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Jennifer Bulandr of South Barrington.

Here is an excerpt of her pitch:

"I work with families affected by pulmonary fibrosis (PF), a terminal lung disease. My job is to help family members create and implement fundraising efforts in honor or in memory of their loved ones with this disease. I also handle the social media for our foundation.

"I interact with patients on a regular basis and I would give the $100 to a dear woman, Diane, who has PF and has become a friend. She is not a candidate for either of the two new FDA approved treatments. Diane has decided to forgo the lung transplant.

"She is an inspiration to me. Her grace during this time of her life is something to behold. The money given would be great to help her know how much she means, not only to me, but to the pulmonary fibrosis community."

• The Believe Project will mail a $100 bill each day to someone with a good idea for how to use it to do a good deed for someone else. Email us your pitch of 100 words or fewer (include your name, address and hometown) to specialevents@dailyherald.com.
