Air Force One lands in Indy ahead of Obama town hall
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - President Barack Obama has landed in Indianapolis ahead of a town hall to discuss his proposals to boost the middle class and offer two years of free community college to eligible students.
Obama was being greeted at Indianapolis International Airport on Friday by Gov. Mike Pence, Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard, Sen. Joe Donnelly and Rep. Todd Rokita.
His speech at Ivy Tech Community College was expected to focus heavily on the community college proposal that is part of his proposed budget.
The president last visited Indiana in October, when he toured Millennium Steel Service LLC near Princeton. That visit was Obama's first such trip to Indiana in more than three years following a flurry of visits early in his presidency.
