MARK LOW NAMED EXECUTIVE CHEF AT WINDSOR PARK

Mark Low has been named executive chef at Windsor Park, a faith-based, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community administered by Covenant Retirement Communities. It is located in Carol Stream. In his new position, Low will manage day-to-day food operations for the resident community, including casual and formal dining in the residential and assisted living, memory support and healthcare settings. He is responsible for managing and training a kitchen staff of 25, creating innovative, healthful menus that meet the high culinary expectations of residents and managing the community's catering services.

"Chef Low's passion for food and creative presentation, along with his knowledge of the senior market, makes him an ideal addition to the Windsor Park family," says Windsor Park Executive Director Karen Larson. "Our residents are excited to have him on board."

Low brings to Windsor Park more than 35 years of culinary experience. Previously, he was executive chef at The Holmstad, a sister Covenant Retirement Community in Batavia, Ill., where he led the dining team to 5-star culinary customer service. Before that, Low was owner and operator of European Chef for nearly 10 years and executive chef for Princess Cruise Lines for nearly 20 years.

Low earned a bachelor's degree in hotel and restaurant management from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. He also received a four-year executive chef degree from National Sea Training University in London, England. Low is a member of both the British and American Culinary Foundations.
