Consumers Credit Union Recognizes Employees of the Year
Waukegan, IL, February 3, 2015: Consumers Credit Union (CCU) recently held its ninth Annual All-Employee Meeting at Keylime Cove Resort in Gurnee IL. A highlight of the event was the announcement of the Member-owned credit union's 2014 Employees of the Year.
"Consumers Credit Union had one of the best years ever in 2014 and as always, the results are a direct reflection of our outstanding team of 210 employees," said Sean M. Rathjen, CCU President. "Our top priority is delivering an outstanding experience for our Members; meeting that goal is possible because our entire team understands just how important that is. We have many employees who regularly go above and beyond their normal responsibilities to consistently exceed Member expectations. We thank everyone on our team who helped assure 2014 would be one of the best or our 85 years serving our Members!"
CCU has several categories for Employees of the Year. Criteria for selection include delivering superior service by living CCU's "Brand Promise," dedication to Members and the credit union, setting a positive example for peers and consistently meeting goals. This year's winners are listed below.
• Counter Service Representative: Patricia Ramirez, North Waukegan office. Counter Service Representatives serve as Tellers in both the lobby and drive-up, handling thousands of transactions for Members on a daily basis.
• Contact Center Representative (Kathy Petropoulos Memorial Award): Philip Meyers, Sr., Round Lake Beach office. Contact Center Representatives handle phone inquiries, Online "chat" and eMail inquiries from Members. The award is named in honor of the late Kathy Petropoulos, long-time Receptionist at Consumers Credit Union.
• Member Experience - Sales : Kyle Brown, Outbound Sales, Waukegan office,. CCU's Sales Representatives open new accounts and loan applications for Members, enroll them in new services and look for additional ways the credit union can benefit Members.
• Member Experience - Service Center : D.J. Allen, Concierge, Waukegan office,. CCU's service center employees greet Members coming into the branch, open specialty accounts and assist Members with a wide variety of questions and general inquiries.
• Real Estate Loan Officer: Mark Peschke, Senior Commercial Loan Officer, Tri-State Parkway office. This award includes employees engaged in generating and funding loans in the credit union's Commercial, Mortgage and Consumer Loans Department, as well as employees in the VISA Credit Card Department.
• Lending Support: Cassondra Augustine, VISA Department, Mundelein office. Lending Department - Support includes all employees in the Loan Departments who assist with the Member experience and support our front-line staff.
• Office: Becky Wagner, Accounting Department, Round Lake Beach office. CCU's Office employees include credit union support staff: Accounting, Marketing, Human Resources, Technology, Collections, Electronic Services and Share Drafts.
• W-O-W Member Service: Jazel Rowell, Mortgage Loan Officer, Mundelein: this award recognizes the employee who consistently reflects the credit union's Mission Statement to deliver outstanding service to Members. Employees from all CCU departments are eligible for this award.
• Superior Achievement: Daniel Kristiansen Solutions Architect, Tri-State Parkway and Gary Marconi, Facilities Manager, Mundelein. This category recognizes "game-changing performance" that positively impacts the credit union. All CCU employee are eligible for this award.
• Director of the Year: Michael Cubelic, Director of Underwriting, Waukegan office. This category recognizes leaders in the credit union's Technology, Credit Office, Mortgage, VISA, Accounting and Collection Departments.
• Member Experience Manager of the Year: Jennifer Wenckowski, Member Experience Manager, Round Lake Beach office,. CCU's service center Managers are responsible for assuring an outstanding Member experience for all Members who come into a branch office; this award recognizes outstanding achievement in this category.
• Manager of the Year: Melissa Rostkowski, Sales Manager, Round Lake Beach office. This award leadership the results in outstanding achievement and results in the Manager's department. All Managers other than Service Center Managers are eligible for this award.
Each of the winners received a plaque at the awards ceremony to commemorate their selection, along with a $500.00 gift card. A picture of CCU's 2014 Employees of the Year is attached.
