Lake in the Hills Historical Society taking donations for April 24-26 fundraiser

The Lake in the Hills Historical Society is seeking donations that will be sold on April 24-26.

The proceeds will go toward the restoration of the Ford School, which is a one-room school house built in 1886. The fundraiser will be held at the school house so that the historical society may bring attention to the project.

They will be accepting items such as antiques, collectible, old and new furniture, small appliances, kitchen items, jewelry, books, linens, china and many other items. Note: They are not accepting any clothing or electronics.

The Lake in the Hills Historical Society is a 501(c) nonprofit organization. They will provide you with a donation letter if requested. They began accepting donations on Feb. 1. Pickup service may be available.

For information regarding donations or other questions, call Sandy Davidson at (847) 658-6846 or Arden Spooner at (847) 658-1066.
