Melbourne City beats Western Sydney 2-1 in A-League

MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) - Aaron Mooy scored in the 73rd minute to clinch Melbourne City's 2-1, come-from-behind win over Western Sydney Wanderers on Sunday, leaving the reigning Asian club champions still winless after 15 rounds of Australian football's A-League.

Japan's Yojiro Takahagi scored in the fifth minute of his A-League debut to give Western Sydney a 1-0 lead but Melbourne equalized through Jacob Melling in the 25th minute and former Wanderer Mooy scored the winner.

Melbourne's fifth win of the season left them comfortably in sixth place on the league table, seven points clear of Brisbane who play Wellington on Monday.
