Girls bowling: Grayslake North wins FVC title

Dundee-Crown junior Brittany Mueller took third place individually to lead the Chargers to fourth place as a team Friday at the Fox Valley Conference girls bowling tournament at Liberty Lanes in Meadowdale.

Jacobs took third place as a team while Grayslake North edged Grayslake Central for the conference championship.

Muller rolled a six-game series of 1,154 to finish 25 pins behind individual champion Gaby Silva of Grayslake North, who win the competition. Grayslake Central's Sarah Polsgrove was second with a 1,171.

Grayslake North had a 5,375 to win the team title.

Jacobs' top finisher was senior Mariclare Daniels (8th, 1,099). Also finishing in the Top 10 were Dundee-Crown sophomore Taylor Gonio (9th, 1,086) and Jacobs junior Kaitlyn Columbia (10th, 1,075).
