Dunn triple-double helps Providence beat DePaul 83-72

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Kris Dunn had a triple-double, scoring 27 points with 13 rebounds and 11 assists to lead Providence to an 83-72 victory over DePaul on Thursday.

It was the first triple-double ever for a Friars (16-5, 6-2) player in a Big East game, and the 10th in school history, according to The Providence Journal.

Tommy Hamilton scored 22 points for DePaul (11-11, 5-4).

The game had been rescheduled from Tuesday because of the snowstorm that dumped several feet of snow on the East Coast earlier in the week.

Dunn had 10 points, nine rebounds and seven assists at the half, when Providence led 41-23.
