Romeoville man gets 108-year sentence in sexual assault case
JOLIET, Ill. (AP) - Authorities in Will County say a Romeoville man convicted of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl and filming the abuse has been sentenced to 108 years in prison.
In a statement, the Will County state's attorney's office announced that 38-year-old Timothy Brandt was sentenced this week. His sentencing came three months after he was convicted of child pornography charges and predatory criminal sexual assault.
Prosecutors contend that the sexual abuse began when the child was 4 years old and it continued until Brandt's arrest in 2013 when the girl was 12.
