South Middle School students excel in spelling, singing

Arlington Heights Elementary District 25 is celebrating the recent of accomplishments of two South Middle School students.

Sydney Sadler recently won the District 25 spelling bee and will represent the district in the Scripps Regional Spelling Bee in February. Sydney earned a spot in the districtwide bee by placing in the top five in the school level competition in December. She won by spelling the word "cryonics" correctly.

Cody Bolithon, also a South Middle School student, took part in the Jewel Osco Kid's Talent Search and was invited to sing the national anthem at the Bulls versus Miami Heat basketball game on Jan. 25. A full video of Cody singing at the United Center is online at www.sd25.org.
