Mundelein fire blood drive:
Mundelein Fire Department and LifeSource will team up to host the "Everyday Heroes Blood Drive" on Saturday, Feb. 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mundelein Fire Station #1 1000 N. Midlothian Road. Walk-in donations are welcomed and a special raffle will be held for all donors. Organizers said this is a critical time with the winter weather, and the fire service throughout the Chciago region is adding drives to assist with critical shortages of blood. The goal is to provide more than 100 units of blood at this drive to raise the awareness of the necessity for donations.
