Announcement of Library Board Candidate for 2015

Palatine Public Library District residents will elect a new Trustee this year. The elected Trustee will serve a four-year term from May 2015 through May 2019. One candidate, Hal Snyder, will be on the April 7, 2015 ballot.

The name on the ballot was determined when the candidate submitted his nominating papers to the Palatine Public Library District Administrative Office before the end of the filing period on December 22, 2014. During the filing period, the Library received one submission for two open seats. In the event there are no write-in candidates for the election, the Board will appoint a candidate for the second open seat. That seat will then be open for election as an unexpired two-year term in the 2017 election.

Library Board elections are nonpartisan and Board candidates do not indicate a political party affiliation. Candidates must reside in the Library District's service area and fulfill all other requirements as noted in the information for candidates.

Further information on the election is available at Illinois State Board of Elections or Elections - Suburban Cook County.
