Palatine Library Celebrates the Oscars

The Palatine Public Library District will celebrate the Oscars with a contest, and three unique programs for adults. "Our patrons love the movies and we are excited to offer these special programs before the Academy Awards show on February 22," says Gayle Weyland, Adult Programming Coordinator.

Do you think you can guess the Oscar winners? Look for the Oscar Contest display in the lobby of the Main Library, Monday, February 16 through Sunday, February 22. Submit your guess for the best: actor, actress, supporting actor, supporting actress, picture, and director. One lucky winner will receive a prize basket containing four tickets to the Catlow Theater in Barrington, a $10 Target gift card, chocolate treats, and popcorn! In the event of a tie, the tie-breaker question determines the winner. Valid adult District cardholders only. One entry form per person. Winner will be notified by February 26, 2015.

Along with the contest, these "star-studded" programs are designed to help patrons enjoy the anticipation of the Academy Awards.
