INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - A 24-year-old man has been arrested on an attempted murder charge following a shooting at an Indianapolis video store.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the man was arrested Monday on an additional charge of possession of a handgun with an obliterated serial number. Authorities say the man was asked to leave an adult video store early Friday morning and shot the clerk when he returned about an hour later.

The clerk is recovering from two gunshot wounds to the leg and is expected to survive.

Marion County prosecutors are reviewing the case and plan to file formal charges against the suspect.
