Southwestern Illinois man ordered to prison in molestations

JERSEYVILLE, Ill. (AP) - A southwestern Illinois man has been ordered to spend at least five years in prison for molesting six children.

The (Alton) Telegraph reports 63-year-old Oliver Klein of Grafton was sentenced Monday in Jersey County.

Klein was arrested in September 2013 on six aggravated sexual abuse counts involving molestations of five females and a male in 2010 and 2011.

Klein was sentenced after agreeing to the case being decided by a judge, who found Klein guilty of one of the felony counts. Klein was credited with 146 days he's spent jailed.

Klein will not be released when his sentence is served if mental health experts believe he will be a danger to society.

If he is deemed a sexually dangerous person, he could spend the rest of his life incarcerated.
