Schaumburg police report holiday enforcement results

From Dec. 19 to Jan. 4, Schaumburg police participated in the annual Illinois crackdown on impaired driving and seatbelt violations.

Within Schaumburg, this resulted in tickets being issued for 14 occupant restraint violations, 14 uninsured motorists, and 21 speeding violations.

Additionally, two individuals were arrested on suspicion of driving on a suspended or revoked license, one was arrested on a charge of reckless driving, and one was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana.

This law enforcement activity was funded by federal traffic safety funds through the Illinois Department of Transportation's Division of Transportation Safety.
