Grayslake Heritage Center event:

The Grayslake Heritage Center and Museum will present actress Leslie Goddard as she portrays servant Margaret Powell, whose memoir "Below Stairs," helped inspire the popular TV series, "Downton Abbey" on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 2 p.m. Learn about the daily life of servants in the early 20th century as they worked to maintain stately English households and serve their employers' whims. Downton Abbey fans will want to stay and explore the museum's World War I exhibitions after the performance for a glimpse of life in the Great War.
